NEW YORK: News Corporation has named Paul Cheesbrough as its chief technology officer, reporting directly to chairman and CEO <\/span><\/span>Rupert Murdoch<\/span><\/span><\/a>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the new role, Cheesbrough is responsible for the company’s global technology strategy as well as coordinating with senior leaders to develop new digital products and expand the digital footprint of its businesses. He will also oversee the transition of IT systems relating to the company’s proposed separation into two individual units. Cheesbrough comes to the role after having served as chief information officer at the Telegraph Media Group and was previously the controller of digital media for the BBC.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
