ATLANTA: Bounce TV, the over-the-air broadcast network targeted at African Americans, has licensed a host of movie titles from The Walt Disney Studios, Miramax, Sony Pictures Television and MGM Domestic Television Distribution.

"As research consistently points to movies driving demand for our consumers, African American theatricals will remain the backbone of Bounce TV’s schedule," said Jonathan Katz, COO of Bounce TV. "We continue to add to our wide-ranging library with attractive titles featuring the most popular stars of our day from the top studios in Hollywood."

From Disney, the network took What’s Love Got to Do with It<\/em>, The Preacher’s Wife<\/em>, Washington<\/em>, The Distinguished Gentlemen<\/em>, The Haunted Mansion<\/em>, Mr. 3000<\/em>, Sister Act<\/em>, Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit<\/em>, Glory Road<\/em>, The Rich Man’s Wife<\/em>, A Low Down Dirty Shame<\/em>, Kazaam<\/em>, Snow Dogs<\/em> and Cool Runnings.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The Miramax package includes Chicago<\/em>, Passion Fish<\/em>, An Unfinished Life<\/em>, Sarafina!<\/em>, American Son<\/em>, Senseless<\/em>, Scary Movie 2<\/em>, Mindhunters<\/em> and In Too Deep<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

SPT licensed to Bounce TV Cadillac Records<\/em>, Stealth<\/em>, Daddy Day Camp<\/em>, To Sir, With Love<\/em>, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner<\/em>, School Daze<\/em>, Jo Jo Dancer<\/em>, Your Life is Calling,  <\/em>The Toy<\/em>, Stomp The Yard 2: Homecoming<\/em> and Poetic Justice<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

In the MGM deal, the network secured three more Sidney Poitier films: Lilies of The Field<\/em>, The Defiant Ones<\/em> and They Call Me Mr. Tibbs<\/em>, plus Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It<\/em> and Cotton Comes to Harlem<\/em>, Foxy Brown<\/em>, The Jackie Robinson Story<\/em>, Hickey & Boggs<\/em> and Cooley High<\/em>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Bounce TV launched in September 2011 and reaches 75 percent of African American households and 65 million homes nationally. Targeting adults 25-54, it airs theatrical motion pictures, live sports, documentaries, specials, inspirational faith-based programs, off-net series and now original series. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
