He will also consult on management, operational and growth strategies. Liguori was COO of Discovery from 2009 to 2011. He previously spent several years at FOX and FX.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">&ldquo;Peter is a seasoned executive who has run several important media businesses and understands how to create value,&quot; said James Attwood, Carlyle&#8217;s managing director and head of the telecommunications and media team.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">Liguori added, &ldquo;I am excited to work with Jim and his team given their record of value creation and deep knowledge of media and entertainment.
