{"id":4231,"date":"2012-05-14T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2012-05-14T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/2012\/05\/14\/cbs-cancels-csi-miami\/"},"modified":"2012-05-14T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2012-05-14T00:00:00","slug":"cbs-cancels-csi-miami","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/cbs-cancels-csi-miami\/","title":{"rendered":"CBS Cancels CSI: Miami"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">LOS ANGELES: CBS has axed the long-running show<em> CSI: Miami <\/em>as well as the freshman dramas <em>Unforgettable<\/em> and <em>A Gifted Man<\/em>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">CBS did, however, lock in a deal for a tenth season of <em>Two and a Half Men<\/em>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">CSI: Miami<\/span><\/span><\/em><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">, which stars David Caruso, has aired more than 200 episodes in its ten-year run. The original <em>CSI<\/em> and <em>CSI: NY<\/em> are expected to remain on the air. The network also cancelled two midseason series, the cop drama <em>NYC 22<\/em> and the sitcom <em>Rob<\/em>. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: small\"><span style=\"font-family: Verdana\">CBS said: &ldquo;<em>CSI: Miami<\/em> leaves an amazing television legacy&mdash;a  signature look and style, global popularity and as a key player in CBS&rsquo;  rise to the top over the past decade. We thank all the producers&mdash;led  by Jerry Bruckheimer, Jonathan Littman and Ann Donahue&mdash;and its  talented cast, led by David Caruso, for ten outstanding seasons.
