{"id":10891,"date":"2023-06-27T09:41:01","date_gmt":"2023-06-27T13:41:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/roku-strikes-formula-e-deal\/"},"modified":"2023-06-27T09:41:01","modified_gmt":"2023-06-27T13:41:01","slug":"roku-strikes-formula-e-deal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/roku-strikes-formula-e-deal\/","title":{"rendered":"Roku Strikes Formula E Deal"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Formula E has expanded its partnership with CBS Sports in the U.S. and scored a deal with Roku for streaming.<\/p>\n<p>The broadcast distribution partnerships in the U.S. will see long-standing partner CBS air more live races than ever before and introduce Roku as the streaming home of Formula E.<\/p>\n<p>Starting in January 2024, five races will air live on CBS Television Network and simulcast on Paramount+, with of which are already featured and integrated on Roku\u2019s platform.<\/p>\n<p>The deal marks Roku\u2019s first-ever live sports rights acquisition.<\/p>\n<p>Starting next season, 11 races in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will be available on The Roku Channel and will also be accessible through the Sports Experience on Roku\u2019s Home Screen.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is a powerful new partnership with CBS and Roku that will dramatically increase Formula E\u2019s audience reach and maximize discoverability of our programming in the U.S.,&#8221; said Aarti Dabas, chief media officer at Formula E. &#8220;We value the strength of our ongoing relationship with CBS and are delighted to join forces with Roku and supercharge Formula E content on their market-leading platform.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>David Eilenberg, head of content at Roku Media, said: &#8220;It\u2019s an honor to partner with Formula E on Roku\u2019s first-ever live sports partnership, making it easier for millions of TV streamers to discover the thrill of Formula E races through the unique integrated viewing experiences only available on Roku.
