The winner-take-all championship match will be carried on Peacock and CNBC on June 4. NBC will broadcast an encore of the championship on June 10 following the conclusion of the Roland-Garros Women\u2019s Final.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;On June 4th, two teams will face off in our championship game for a million dollars,&#8221; said Jon Mugar, TST founder and CEO. &#8220;The second-place team will get nothing. We are excited to showcase the drama of that moment and 26 additional high-stakes matches through this partnership with NBC Sports, home of the Premier League in the United States.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to partner with The Soccer Tournament to present 27 matches of the inaugural, high-stakes competition and continue to add compelling content to Peacock\u2019s robust soccer portfolio,\u201d said Nick Casanova, senior director of programming at NBC Sports.<\/p>\n<p>The event will see 32 teams competing in a World Cup-like group stage, with 16 advancing to the knockouts. Teams competing include seven-a-side teams from notable European and British clubs such as Borussia Dortmund, West Ham, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Wrexham. The tournament will also feature MLS club Charlotte FC, Liga MX\u2019s Club Necaxa, Clint Dempsey\u2019s Team Dempsey, and US Women, a team of former U.S. women\u2019s national team players.<\/p>\n<p>Peacock will stream 12 featured group stage matches live, which will include all of Wrexham\u2019s games, in addition to matchups with Borussia Dortmund, West Ham, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Como 1907, Team Dempsey, U.S. Women and more.
