Groundswell Productions, run by London and President of Production Shannon Gaulding, is currently in production on season six of <em>Snowfall<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the agreement, London and Gaulding have a limited scripted series detailing the rise and fall of Liberty University President Jerry Falwell Jr. in the works. Lionsgate Television optioned Gabriel Sherman\u2019s <em>Vanity Fair<\/em> article on Falwell Jr. Sherman is adapting and executive producing his story with London and Gaulding.<\/p>\n<p>London&#8217;s film credits include the Golden Globe-winning best picture for a musical\/comedy <em>Sideways <\/em>and\u00a0the Oscar-winning <em>Milk.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>London said: \u201cThere\u2019s nothing better than having creative partners who are truly creative, as well as collaborative and smart. The Lionsgate team is all of those things and more. Shannon Gaulding and I are excited to jump into this new venture focusing on the kind of smart, singular and entertaining television that both companies stand for.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Scott Herbst, head of scripted development and executive VP of Lionsgate TV, added: \u201cMichael is not only a prolific producer with a track record of excellence across both film and television, but he is also an expert in bringing impactful stories to the screen. We have been such a fan of his from afar for too long, and now we get to work together!
