{"id":10422,"date":"2021-08-18T11:54:30","date_gmt":"2021-08-18T15:54:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/electric-entertainment-inks-deal-vizio-electricnow\/"},"modified":"2021-08-18T12:05:52","modified_gmt":"2021-08-18T16:05:52","slug":"electric-entertainment-inks-deal-with-vizio-for-electricnow","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/electric-entertainment-inks-deal-with-vizio-for-electricnow\/","title":{"rendered":"Electric Entertainment Inks Deal with VIZIO for ElectricNOW"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Electric Entertainment has hard-launched the OTT app and channel ElectricNOW, which will be available on all VIZIO SmartCast televisions through a new deal.<\/p>\n<p>Per the agreement, SmartCast users will have access to such Electric Entertainment-produced TV series as <em>Leverage<\/em>, <em>The Librarians<\/em> and <em>The Outpost<\/em>, as well as acquired programming that includes the feature films <em>Blood on the Crown<\/em> and <em>Heavy<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Dean Devlin, CEO of Electric Entertainment, said: \u201cWe soft-launched ElectricNOW in spring of 2020. The consumer feedback and corresponding viewership have been well beyond our expectations. We originally set out to create a hub where we could aggregate all of our various fan bases from <em>Leverage<\/em>, <em>The Librarians<\/em>, <em>The Outpost<\/em>, <em>Almost Paradise<\/em> and all of our podcast subscribers into a single space. Now with the app being available to this incredibly large consumer base via VIZIO SmartCast, we are reaching a much broader, more mainstream audience, picking up new fans along the way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Chris Tanquary, director of business development and partnerships for VIZIO, said: \u201cWith the addition of ElectricNOW to SmartCast, we are continuing VIZIO\u2019s mission to provide our audiences with endless entertainment.
