{"id":10358,"date":"2021-06-24T12:07:18","date_gmt":"2021-06-24T16:07:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dev2.worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/%e2%80%afpeacock-stream-tokyo-olympics-coverage-live\/"},"modified":"2021-06-24T12:07:18","modified_gmt":"2021-06-24T16:07:18","slug":"%e2%80%afpeacock-to-stream-tokyo-olympics-coverage-live","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvusa\/%e2%80%afpeacock-to-stream-tokyo-olympics-coverage-live\/","title":{"rendered":"\u202fPeacock to Stream Tokyo Olympics Coverage Live"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Peacock has confirmed that it will launch a Tokyo Olympics destination on July 15 that will feature live coverage of some of the Games\u2019 biggest events, including gymnastics, track and field and the U.S. men\u2019s basketball team.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Peacock will feature new daily live shows, original programming, Olympics channels, full event replays and curated highlights of NBC Olympics\u2019 coverage.\u202fAll of Peacock\u2019s Tokyo Olympics programming will be available to stream for free, with exception of U.S. men\u2019s basketball live coverage, which\u202fwill be available to Peacock Premium subscribers.<\/p>\n<p>Peacock will feature live coverage every morning.\u202fMatt Iseman and\u202fAkbar Gbajabiamila\u202fwill host Peacock\u2019s morning show,\u00a0<em>Tokyo LIVE<\/em>.\u202fTwo-time Olympic medalist\u202fLaurie Hernandez\u202fwill serve as a studio analyst for gymnastics along with Olympic medalist\u202fBridget Sloan\u202fand three-time Olympian John Roethlisberger\u202fcalling the action live across all men\u2019s and women\u2019s gymnastics events.<\/p>\n<p>Peacock women\u2019s and men\u2019s 100M on July 31 and August 1, respectively. Track and field live coverage also includes the 4 x 100M relay, 4 x 400M relay, 200M and 400M. Bill Spaulding will call track and field play-by-play alongside Olympian analysts Tim Hutchings and Alysia Montano.<\/p>\n<p>Peacock will stream live coverage of men\u2019s basketball throughout the Games, beginning with U.S. vs. France on July\u202f25. Bob Fitzgerald will call basketball play-by-play alongside analysts Fran Fraschilla and Vince Carter, gold medalist and eight-time NBA All-Star.<\/p>\n<p>Amber\u202fRuffin, host, writer and executive producer of Peacock\u2019s late-night series\u202f<em>The Amber\u202fRuffin\u202fShow<\/em>, will be on the ground in Tokyo providing her own unique, comedic analyses of the competition, as well as a look-back at her own experiences in the world of sports. Rich Eisen\u202fwill host\u202f<em>Tokyo Gold<\/em>,\u202fa daily, comprehensive look at the most compelling performances of the day, including in-depth stories, expert analysis, and athlete interviews.<\/p>\n<p>Lindsay Czarniak, Lolo Jones\u202fand\u202fMJ Acosta-Ruiz will host\u202f<em>On Her Turf<\/em> <em>at the Olympics<\/em>,\u202fthe first NBC Olympics show dedicated to covering women\u2019s sports at the Games. Katie Ledecky, Allyson Felix, Alex Morgan, April Ross and Alix Klineman will be among athletes featured.\u00a0Cari Champion\u202fand\u202fKenny Mayne\u202fwill host\u202f<em>Tokyo Tonight<\/em>,\u202fwhich\u202fwill bring fans into the Games with quick-turnaround highlights as well as interviews and feature stories every evening. Jac Collinsworth will serve as contributor to <em>Tokyo Tonight<\/em> on-location in Tokyo. <em>Tokyo LIVE<\/em>, <em>Tokyo Gold<\/em>, <em>On Her Turf at the Olympics<\/em>\u202fand\u202f<em>Tokyo Tonight<\/em>\u202fall stream daily on\u202fTokyo NOW, which will be complemented by five additional channels, including: Great Moments, Meet the Olympians, Must-See Moments, Team USA and Tokyo Flame.<\/p>\n<p>Peacock will curate highlights and full event replays by sport.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Olympics-focused Peacock Originals already available to stream\u2014<em>The \u201996 Effect<\/em>, <em>Michael Phelps: Medals Memories and More<\/em>, <em>The Greatest Race<\/em>, <em>In Deep with Ryan Lochte<\/em>\u00a0and <em>My Pursuit: Life, Legacy &amp; Jordan Burroughs<\/em>\u2014Peacock will continue to roll out new original programming leading up to and throughout the Olympics.
