SEATTLE: Amazon has given the go-ahead for an untitled McLaren racing docuseries exclusively for Prime Video.<\/p>\n
The unscripted series will provide unprecedented access to the McLaren racing team as it competes in the 2017 FIA Formula 1 World Championship. Prime members will be able to stream the limited series exclusively via the Amazon Prime Video app for TVs, connected devices such as Fire TV, mobile devices and online. Members can also download the series to mobile devices for offline viewing at no additional cost to their membership. The series\u00a0<\/em>will have a global release and will be available online for Prime Video members in more than 200 countries and territories.<\/p>\n The series follows the racing organization McLaren, founded in 1963, which is preparing for the 2017 World Championship, led by new executive director and former racer Zak Brown. The show\u00a0<\/em>features coverage of the physical and mental preparation of a Formula 1 crew, including exclusive footage of how McLaren builds and tests a Formula 1 car, and behind-the-scenes, never-before-seen coverage of the sponsor and partnership deals that finance the team. The series\u00a0<\/em>is executive produced by BAFTA winner\u00a0Manish Pandey\u00a0(Senna<\/em>,<\/em>\u00a0Ferrari<\/em>, The Bentley Boys<\/em>), Chris Connell and Anwar Nuseibeh.<\/p>\n \u201cThe series will take Amazon Prime members inside what it takes to compete at the highest level of Formula 1 racing,\u201d said Conrad Riggs, the head of unscripted for Amazon Originals. \u201cIt will combine unparalleled access with exciting and dramatic storytelling that will appeal to racing fans and non-racing fans alike.\u201d<\/p>\n Pandey added, \u201cMcLaren dominated F1 in the modern era, creating champions like Ayrton Senna and Lewis Hamilton.
