LONDON: BBC Worldwide has aligned with the tech outfit Blippar for a multimedia interactive experience tied to the landmark natural-history series Planet Earth II<\/em>.<\/p>\n Through an augmented-reality experience, a total of 19 common objects (such as shoes, apples, roses, eyeglasses and more) can be scanned with the Blippar app with unique content specific to this campaign. Once blipped, users unlock a short AR experience that leads them to a\u00a0Planet Earth II<\/em> section within the app. The section delivers entertaining and educational facts about an\u00a0animal’s diet and habitat and reveals the connection between the blipped object and the selected animals. The user can also see short videos from the landmark series\u00a0Planet Earth II<\/em>.<\/p>\n Shot in UHD,\u00a0Planet Earth II<\/em>, presented by Sir David Attenborough, uses the latest camera stabilization, remote recording and aerial drone technology.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re very excited to be partnering with BBC Worldwide to bring the wildlife closer to everyone,\u201d said\u00a0Ambarish Mitra, co-founder and\u00a0CEO at Blippar. \u201cAR fuses the digital world with the physical world around us and is an unparalleled tool for storytelling.
