As he travels into the outback to one of the country\u2019s largest and\u00a0most deprived Aboriginal communities, he discovers a marginalized group suffering from alcohol addiction and generations of institutionalized racism.<\/p>\n<p>The second episode, \u201cAddicted to Ice,\u201d takes viewers along on Yates\u2019 journey to Melbourne to discover why the city is experiencing an epidemic of crystal meth, also known as Ice. Yates meets addicts living in halfway houses and users from different walks of life who are about to enter rehab.<\/p>\n<p><em>Reggie Yates: Hidden Australia<\/em> joins other series from Sundog featuring the British actor and TV presenter. These include <em>Reggie Yates: Extreme South Africa<\/em>,<em> Reggie Yates: Extreme Russia<\/em>\u00a0and <em>Reggie Yates: Life and Death Chicago<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Sam Anthony, the creative director at Sundog Pictures, commented, \u201cWe are delighted to be working with Reggie again on what is set to be another extraordinary and exciting mission. Although Australia is one of the richest nations on Earth, may of its young people suffer from drug addiction, racism and inequality\u2014exactly the kind of powerful stories we like to tell at Sundog, and Reggie is the perfect presenter to help bring them to life in a really accessible way.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The program was commissioned by Jamie Balment, the BBC\u2019s commissioning editor for documentaries. Anthony and Dov Freedman serve as executive producers for Sundog Pictures.
