Smith &amp; Co. Launches Entertainment &amp; Factual Divisions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LOS ANGELES: A. Smith &amp; Co. Productions has established two new divisions, with an arm dedicated to documentary and factual programming and one specialized in entertainment.<\/p>\n<p>A. Smith &amp; Co. Dox is the new unit for documentary and factual programming. It includes a partnership Strong Eagle Media, producers of the hit film <em>Citizen Soldier<\/em>, a co-production between both companies. The two companies will continue to create documentary films together in a first-look co-production deal that spans multiple projects. A. Smith &amp; Co. Dox is the result of the merger between A. Smith &amp; Co. Productions and sister company BASE Productions. Meanwhile, A. Smith &amp; Co. Entertainment will house the company\u2019s wide variety of entertainment programming.<\/p>\n<p>Both divisions will exist under the A. Smith &amp; Co. Productions banner, which will continue to be led by CEO Arthur Smith, President Kent Weed and COO Frank Sinton. Toby Gorman joins from FremantleMedia North America to lead A. Smith &amp; Co. Entertainment as president, while Sinton will lead Dox as president.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith our award-winning productions across both the entertainment and documentary space and continued growth in many genres, we decided to service our clients with two beefed up divisions,\u201d said Smith, CEO of A. Smith &amp; Co.
