Elspeth joins from IWC, where she served as head of documentaries. Producer Jennifer Gilroy will also join the team in Glasgow, who are already in advanced negotiations with Channel 4 about an innovative factual-entertainment format to be produced out of Scotland.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Firecracker Scotland\u00a0will be based at the Ingram Street hub, where\u00a0fellow group members\u00a0Mentorn Scotland\u00a0and Sunset+Vine\u00a0are already established.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Jes Wilkins, the chief creative officer at Firecracker, said:<b>\u00a0<\/b>&#8221;We&#8217;ve produced two recent series in Scotland and it&#8217;s a natural progression for us to establish a permanent base there. Elspeth is a talented and\u00a0well-respected business winning executive producer as well as being a lovely person, so we\u2019re delighted\u00a0to be embarking on this new venture with her\u00a0and Jennifer, to create\u00a0exciting new Firecracker shows out of Glasgow.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">O&#8217;Hare added: \u201cI have always admired the innovation and creativity of Firecracker.\u00a0Its\u00a0commitment and investment in a new Scottish center of production is an exciting opportunity and I can&#8217;t wait to get started.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">Arwel Rees, CEO of the Tinopolis Group, commented:<b>\u00a0<\/b>\u201cFirecracker\u2019s new venture in Scotland is a testament to how\u00a0much we value our presence\u00a0within the region. Through Sunset+Vine,\u00a0Mentorn and now Firecracker we are a\u00a0significant player\u00a0in Scottish television, making programs for Scotland but also from Scotland to U.K. networks and beyond.\u00a0Having a base in Glasgow will enable Firecracker to create even more opportunities for high-quality content to be produced by locally sourced talent.
