He is widely credited as having created the celeb-reality genre of reality TV with the breakout VH1 series <em>The Surreal Life<\/em>. He has served as showrunner for more than 40 megahit reality series, including MTV\u2019s <em>Singled Out<\/em> and VH1\u2019s <em>Flavor of Love<\/em>, <em>Rock of Love<\/em> and <em>Charm School<\/em>. Throughout his career, Cronin has founded multiple production companies, including 51 Minds Entertainment (later sold to Endemol) and, most recently, Little Wooden Boat Productions.
