As he explores the facets of pool culture in the U.S., O\u2019Sullivan is joined by sports broadcaster and friend Matt Smith. The pair visits historic American cities, uncovering hidden gems and playing pool sharks at their own game. The series is slated to air on HISTORY in the U.K. early next year.<\/p>\n<p>Rachel Job, who commissioned the series and is the director of programming for HISTORY at A+E Networks UK, said, \u201cHISTORY is excited to be working with British sporting icon Ronnie O\u2019Sullivan, taking viewers on this unique U.S. road trip. This commission continues HISTORY\u2019s track record in bringing much-loved British household names to the channel to share their passion for diverse topics and pursuits, from <em>Sean Bean on Waterloo<\/em> to <em>Shaun Ryder\u2019s UFOs<\/em> as well as working with Freddie Flintoff as our HISTORY brand ambassador in the U.K.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Sullivan commented: \u201cI\u2019m excited to be traveling with my mate, Matt Smith, across America. There will be some places I\u2019ve never been to before and I\u2019m looking forward to working with HISTORY as it\u2019s the channel that\u2019s letting me do something different and indulge my sense of adventure.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Steve Gowans, the managing director at North One, added, \u201cHISTORY has a track record of commissioning surprising and unique passion projects for big names, which resonate so well with viewers. We\u2019re really excited that the channel wanted to see Ronnie take on the U.S. at its own game, and that we get to go on the journey with him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Diana Carter serves as executive producer for HISTORY. John Quinn is executive producer at North One Television, and Chris Amess is series producer.
