LONDON: all3media international has closed a host of deals with broadcasters worldwide for several factual titles from Lion Television, including an agreement with AMC Networks in Central and Eastern Europe for 80-plus hours.<\/p>\n
The pan-territory CEE deal with AMC Networks sees more than 80 hours of content heading to Hungary, Czech Republic and Slovakia. It covers a raft of Lion Television titles, including one-hour specials such as China: Treasures of the Jade Empire<\/em> and The Great Wall of China: The Hidden Story<\/em>. The agreement also includes series such as Meet the Romans<\/em>, Rome: Empire Without Limit with Mary Beard<\/em> and The Story of Egypt<\/em>, as well as seasons one and two of Monty Don\u2019s Big Dreams, Small Spaces<\/em>, and the first seasons of Discovering Korean Food with Gizzi Erskine<\/em>, Kew on a Plate<\/em> and The Spice Trail<\/em>.<\/p>\n The package deal also includes Building the Ancient City: Athens and Rome<\/em> (from Brave New Media), Dinosaur Britain<\/em> (Maverick Television), the first two seasons of The Great Interior Design Challenge<\/em> (Studio Lambert), The Magic of the Diary of Anne Frank<\/em> (Dutch Angle) and season six of Undercover Boss USA<\/em> (all3media America).<\/p>\n In addition to the package deal with AMC Networks, all3media international sold Lion Television\u2019s China: Treasures of the Jade Empire<\/em> to NHK in Japan, SBS in Australia and Foxtel for Australia and New Zealand. The title was also picked up by FTV Prima in Czech Republic, Viasat World for CEE and Scandinavia, Yleisradio Oy-TV1 in Finland, and ARTE for Austria, Belgium, France, Germany and French-speaking Europe. The documentary series The Story of Egypt<\/em>, meanwhile, was sold into 30 territories, including Croatia (HRT), Australia (SBS), Czech Republic (FTV Prima), CEE and Scandinavia (Viasat World), and Canada (TVO). In addition, Foxtel acquired The Story of Egypt<\/em> for Australia and New Zealand, while Top TV picked up the title for New Zealand.<\/p>\n all3media international also secured deals for the hour-long specials Alexandria<\/em>, Caligula<\/em> and Cleopatra: Portrait of a Killer<\/em>.
