{"id":8792,"date":"2016-06-13T12:24:41","date_gmt":"2016-06-13T16:24:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/sky-1-slates-doc-on-freemasons\/"},"modified":"2016-06-13T14:39:29","modified_gmt":"2016-06-13T18:39:29","slug":"sky-1-slates-doc-on-freemasons","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/sky-1-slates-doc-on-freemasons\/","title":{"rendered":"Sky 1 Slates Doc on Freemasons"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LONDON: Sky 1 has scheduled a winter debut for\u00a0the four-part documentary <em>Inside the Freemasons.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>In the run-up to the 30th anniversary of the Freemasons in 2017, the\u00a0documentary goes behind the scenes to reveal the closely-guarded practices and ancient rituals of the organization, including the regalia, jewels, handshakes and symbolic working tools. The doc offers footage of ceremonies that have never been seen on TV before, with unprecedented access to the governing body, the United Grand Lodge of England, and its\u00a0lodges across the country. <em>Inside the Freemasons<\/em> is produced by Emporium Productions.<\/p>\n<p>Siobhan Mulholland, the commissioning editor for Sky factual, said, \u201cWith over 200,000 members across England and Wales, the Freemasons is a fascinating organization that the general public don\u2019t really know much about. We can\u2019t wait to use this unique access to show Sky customers the real Freemasons as we look at little-known history and traditions, determining myth from truth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Emma Read, executive producer for Emporium Productions, added: \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to have been given such unprecedented access to the hidden world of the Freemasons to make a documentary series.
