{"id":8651,"date":"2016-05-06T11:43:56","date_gmt":"2016-05-06T15:43:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/cbc-preps-short-form-docs\/"},"modified":"2016-05-06T13:37:17","modified_gmt":"2016-05-06T17:37:17","slug":"cbc-preps-short-form-digital-docs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/cbc-preps-short-form-digital-docs\/","title":{"rendered":"CBC Preps Short-Form Digital Docs"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>OTTAWA: CBC Docs has made its foray into the area of short-form digital documentaries with CBC Docs: Short Docs, an online platform dedicated to showcasing the work of emerging filmmakers.<\/p>\n<p>The site features docs that showcase unique perspectives through innovative storytelling and, at less than 30 minutes in length, are meant to be shareable in the online space. The site launched with six short docs including: <em>Billsville<\/em>; <em>Thunder Blanket<\/em> (episodes one to three of five); <em>Underdog<\/em>; <em>Wally\u2019s World<\/em> (episodes one through three); <em>WhyFi?<\/em>; and <em>World Famous Gopher Hole Museum<\/em>. It will eventually feature a total of 18 films over the course of the 2016-17 season.
