{"id":8619,"date":"2016-04-29T12:33:22","date_gmt":"2016-04-29T16:33:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/finding-fido-among-original-series-heading-to-z-living\/"},"modified":"2016-04-29T12:35:07","modified_gmt":"2016-04-29T16:35:07","slug":"finding-fido-among-original-series-heading-to-z-living","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/finding-fido-among-original-series-heading-to-z-living\/","title":{"rendered":"Finding Fido Among Original Series Heading to Z Living"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LOS ANGELES: Z Living has given the green light to four new original series in the lifestyle space, including the canine-focused <em>Finding Fido<\/em>, while\u00a0also acquiring\u00a0several titles\u00a0due to premiere in May.<\/p>\n<p>The four new shows\u2014<em>Finding Fido<\/em>, <em>Altar\u2019d<\/em>, <em>The Big Fat Truth<\/em> and <em>Yoga Girls<\/em>\u2014are the first original series to be ordered under Z Living\u2019s general manager, Rafe Oller, who joined the network last fall, and Tim Krubsack, the executive VP and head of programming. <em>Finding Fido<\/em> and <em>Altar\u2019d<\/em> enter production soon and are scheduled to premiere in Q4 2016. <em>The Big Fat Truth<\/em> and <em>Yoga Girls<\/em>, meanwhile, will debut early next year.<\/p>\n<p>In each episode of <em>Finding Fid<\/em>o, canine expert Seth Casteel helps a future dog owner find the perfect companion that fits his or her lifestyle, while in <em>Altar\u2019d<\/em>, an overweight couple has 12 weeks to transform their bodies before their wedding. <em>The Big Fat Truth<\/em> is another weight-loss series headed to the network. JD Roth hosts and gives groups of overweight people the tools and skills they need to live healthier lives. <em>Yoga Girls<\/em>, meanwhile, is a docusoap that follows the yoga scene on the West Side of L.A.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the four new originals, Z Living acquired <em>Flip My Food<\/em>, <em>House Hazards<\/em> and <em>Birth Days<\/em>, which are slated to premiere on the network next month. Hosted by celebrity chef Jeff Henderson, <em>Flip My Food<\/em> will premiere on May 2 at 10 p.m., while <em>House Hazards<\/em> will debut the next day at 9 p.m. and <em>Birth Days<\/em> will make its premiere on May 9 at 4 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom day one, our focus at Z Living has been to create new entertainment content that not only satisfies audiences\u2019 growing engagement with healthy living, but also reflects the evolution of health and wellness into nearly every lifestyle genre\u2014from food and fitness to home, family and even work,\u201d said Oller. \u201cThese pickups underscore our commitment to making Z Living an entertainment destination that will continue to elevate the conversation around health and living well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Krubsack added, \u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to be going into production on our first original series, all of which come from some of the most creative and well-regarded producers in our business.
