LONDON: BBC Worldwide has sold Joe &\u00a0Caspar Hit the Road<\/em> to E4 in the U.K., where the feature-length film will broadcast next month.<\/p>\n

Joe &\u00a0Caspar Hit the Road<\/em> sees\u00a0Joe Sugg and Caspar Lee take a European road trip using only the money they can earn each day doing various jobs. The movie successfully launched on DVD last year.\u00a0Sugg and Lee will be at MIPTV to help launch the title to the international market.<\/p>\n

Paul Hembury, executive producer for BBC Worldwide, remarked: \u201cAfter such a successful DVD, we\u2019re thrilled that Joe and Caspar will be reaching a new audience on TV.\u201d<\/p>\n

The duo, who have more than 11 million YouTube subscribers, are\u00a0also\u00a0taking on America in BBC Worldwide and Raucous Productions’s\u00a0Joe\u00a0&\u00a0Caspar Hit the Road: USA<\/em>. That title\u00a0is slated for release on DVD and digital download in November 2016, and will become available for pre-order in July.<\/p>\n

Dominic Smales, founder of Gleam Futures, stated: \u201cI am absolutely thrilled that the record-breaking success of Joe &\u00a0Caspar Hit the Road<\/em> has been consolidated by a commission for a second movie. This cements the fact that this talent is here to stay and success for them in long-form content is far from a flash in the pan.\u201d<\/p>\n

Sugg noted: \u201cWe don\u2019t know how it happened, but it\u2019s happening! Yee-hah!”<\/p>\n

Lee added: “I\u2019m absolutely thrilled to be working with my friend Joe on this exciting new project and can\u2019t wait to get back on the road.
