{"id":8447,"date":"2016-03-24T12:45:43","date_gmt":"2016-03-24T16:45:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/dance-off-juniors-set-for-april-premiere-on-go90\/"},"modified":"2016-03-24T15:49:51","modified_gmt":"2016-03-24T19:49:51","slug":"dance-off-juniors-set-for-april-premiere-on-go90","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/dance-off-juniors-set-for-april-premiere-on-go90\/","title":{"rendered":"Dance-Off Juniors Set for April Premiere on go90"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LOS ANGELES: DanceOn, an entertainment-focused digital-media programming brand co-founded by Madonna, and go90 have slated the premiere of the competition series <em>Dance-Off Juniors<\/em> for April 20 on the mobile-first entertainment platform.<\/p>\n<p>Each week on <em>Dance-Off Juniors<\/em>, three young dancers battle it out for a cash prize of $5,000 as they compete in a series of freestyle and choreography-based challenges from choreographer and social-media superstar Matt Steffanina. The first season is comprised of ten 20-minute episodes and will see 30 dancers aged 10 to 16 take part in the competition. The show is hosted by Devon Werkheiser (<em>Ned&#8217;s Declassified School Survival Guide<\/em>).<\/p>\n<p>Steffanina will serve as both series mentor and judge. Joining him on the judging panel are digital star Todrick Hall (<em>Todrick<\/em>), actress and dancer Alyson Stoner (<em>Step Up<\/em> film franchise), and dancer and choreographer Ladia Yates. <em>Dance-Off Juniors<\/em> is executive produced by Kristin Campbell-Taylor and Emily Sinclair.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDanceOn aims to elevate rising stars of music and dance through engaging, high-quality programming,\u201d said DanceOn CEO Amanda Taylor. \u201cWe have so many talented kids in our network, we realized our next step was to produce a mobile-first competition series for them. We\u2019ve assembled an incredible group of contestants, some of which dance for the biggest names in music, including Katy Perry, Missy Elliott and Mariah Carey. We\u2019re confident that every week, viewers will be blown away by their undeniable talent and passion.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith go90, we\u2019re continuously looking to build on a strong offering with partners who are dedicated to high-quality content,\u201d said Verizon\u2019s senior VP of consumer product, Brian Angiolet. \u201cWe are pleased with the go90 audiences and interactions that we are seeing come together around DanceOn.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>DanceOn is a launch partner for go90, producing 25 original series for the mobile-entertainment platform under the DanceOn Studios banner. <em>Dance-Off Juniors<\/em> is the latest series in the deal, following the previous series\u00a0<em>Every Single Step<\/em>, a choreography competition series executive produced by Nigel Lythgoe, and <em>Chachi\u2019s World<\/em>, a docuseries following dancer and social media superstar Chachi Gonzales.
