{"id":8290,"date":"2016-02-11T12:54:00","date_gmt":"2016-02-11T17:54:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/destination-american-slates-new-paranormal-series\/"},"modified":"2016-02-11T12:55:00","modified_gmt":"2016-02-11T17:55:00","slug":"new-paranormal-series-for-destination-america","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/new-paranormal-series-for-destination-america\/","title":{"rendered":"New Paranormal Series for Destination America"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>SILVER SPRING: This spring, Destination America is set to premiere <em>Ghost Brothers<\/em>, a new supernatural-themed show\u00a0featuring television&#8217;s first African-American paranormal investigation team.<\/p>\n<p><em>Ghost Brothers<\/em> follows best friends Dalen Spratt, Juwan Mass and Marcus Harvey as they investigate the authenticity of legendary &#8220;haunted&#8221; houses around the U.S. The six-part series is due to debut on Friday, April 15, at 10 p.m. It is produced for Destination America by Pilgrim Media Group (<em>Ghost Hunters<\/em>) in association with Crybaby Media.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDestination America is the leader in paranormal programming, and we are excited to bring diversity to this space with the very first African-American ghost-hunting team on television,\u201d said Jane Latman, the general manager of Destination America. \u201cDalen, Juwan and Marcus\u2019 personalities shine through in <em>Ghost Brothers<\/em>, wearing their emotions on their sleeves in an incredibly relatable way during all of the fear, thrills and chills of investigating things that go bump in the night.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re excited to join the Destination America family and prove that there can be a little humor in the unknown,&#8221; noted Spratt. \u201cBut the best part about <em>Ghost Brothers<\/em> is that THIS time, the black guys make it out of the haunted house alive!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnyone boycotting the Academy Awards because of the absence of minorities represented might well find a kindred spirit in <em>Ghost Brothers<\/em>, the new series debuting on Destination America, featuring the first ever African-American ghost-hunting team,\u201d added Henry S.
