LONDON: MTV has greenlit a new reality show, Spring Break with Grandad<\/em>, for its international channels and platforms.<\/p>\n

The show will see eight hot twenty-somethings head to Cancun, with their favorite grandparent alongside them. Handsome Productions is prepping the eight-episode series for a June launch. MTV is now casting in the U.K. and the U.S. for the production of Spring Break with Grandad<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Kerry Taylor, the senior VP of youth and music at Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), said, \u201cSpring Break with Grandad<\/em> is the perfect fit for MTV. We know our audience loves the romance and the drama our reality franchises serve up, and now we\u2019re adding a hilarious new element into the mix. Grandparents are the best, and we can\u2019t wait to see what they\u2019ll get up to in Cancun.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nichola Hegarty, executive producer at Handsome Productions, added, \u201cThis series is going to be high in comedy entertainment. Throwing their grandparents into Spring Break is, for some kids, the ultimate nightmare. We\u2019re definitely in for some jaw-dropping moments! It\u2019s their job to find likely romances for their grandkids and this might not always go according to plan!\u201d<\/p>\n
