\n\tLONDON: BBC Worldwide has acquired a 25 percent stake in the factual indie Amazing Productions, also scoring a first-look option for distribution rights for the next five years.<\/p>\n

\n\tAmazing is led by George Clarke, a professional architect and presenter; Rebecca Mulraine, producer and managing director; Michael Simkin, an award-winning factual filmmaker and Tania Fallon, features and formats producer. All four already have strong commissioning relationships with BBC, ITV and Channel 4.<\/p>\n

\n\tMark Reynolds, BBC Worldwide’s genre director for factual, said: “George and the team at Amazing are the perfect partners for BBC Worldwide as their slate delivers exactly what we’re looking for right now—that is non-scripted aspirational lifestyle content, male-skewing fact ent., access driven documentaries, and high-end accessible specialist factual.
