\n\tLOS ANGELES: Participant Media’s TV network Pivot has acquired two documentaries about the Syrian refugee crisis, which will air as part of its Stand Up for Justice programming scheme, launching on January 18.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe documentary films, Salam Neighbor<\/em> and This Is Exile: Diaries of Child Refugees<\/em>, will debut during the network’s Stand Up for Justice month of curated programming, which will run from January 18 (Martin Luther King, Jr. Day) until February 20 (World Day of Social Justice). The special programming will air Wednesdays at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 10 p.m. During this time, Pivot’s programming will focus on themes of social justice, inequality and political conflict. Salam Neighbor<\/em> follows two American filmmakers, Chris Temple and Zach Ingrasci, living among 85,000 refugees in Jordan’s Za'atari camp. It will premiere on January 20 at 7 p.m. On January 27 at 7 p.m., This Is Exile: Diaries of Child Refugees<\/em> will introduce viewers to the plight of refugees from the perspective of the children fleeing Syria.  <\/p>\n

\n\tParticipant Media will support these documentaries with social impact opportunities for viewers to take action around the refugee crisis. Other titles slated to air as part of Pivot’s Stand Up for Justice Month include Crash <\/em>(January 18), Amistad <\/em>(January 24), A Place at the Table<\/em> (January 18), The Internet's Own Boy: The Story of Aaron Swartz <\/em>(January 18), Hotel Rwanda<\/em> (February 7 and 20) and It Happened Here <\/em>(January 18).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
