\n\tKNOXVILLE: Scripps Networks Interactive has promoted Courtney White, a senior programming executive for HGTV, DIY Network and Great American Country, to senior VP of programming for Travel Channel.<\/p>\n
\n\tIn her new role, White will oversee all series development and production for the network. She will lead the programming team for Travel Channel in Knoxville. White joined Scripps Networks Interactive in 2005 as a program development executive for HGTV and has created several hit series over the last ten years. Her credits include the Beachfront Bargain Hunt<\/em> and Hawaii Life<\/em> franchises, as well as special events such as Ellen’s Design Challenge <\/em>and Selling Spelling Manor<\/em>.<\/p>\n \n\t“Courtney has been a driving force in the success of our home networks for many years,” said Kathleen Finch, the chief programming, content and brand officer at Scripps Networks Interactive. “She has an intuitive understanding of what it takes to make hit shows on a consistent basis, through great ideas and execution.
