{"id":8006,"date":"2015-11-18T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2015-11-18T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/bell-media-doc-to-launch-across-multiple-platforms\/"},"modified":"2015-11-18T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2015-11-18T00:00:00","slug":"bell-media-doc-to-launch-across-multiple-platforms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/bell-media-doc-to-launch-across-multiple-platforms\/","title":{"rendered":"Bell Media Doc to Launch Across Multiple Platforms"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tTORONTO: Bell Media has lined up the exclusive North American television and streaming premiere of Jerry Rothwell&#039;s <em>How to Change the World<\/em>, a documentary focused on the birth of the modern green movement and the creation of Greenpeace.<\/p>\n<p>\t<em>How to Change the World<\/em> tells the story of a group of young pioneers&mdash;led by Canadian journalist Bob Hunter&mdash;who make history after they set out to stop Richard Nixon&#039;s atomic bomb tests in Alaska during the 1970s. The 110-minute production will roll out across a number of Bell Media platforms beginning with HBO Canada at 9 p.m. on December 3, coinciding with the 2015 Paris United Nations climate conference. The following day will see the film join the #iCraveFridays schedule on CraveTV. It will debut on CTV on January 3 at 8 p.m., and will stream on the CTV website the next day.<\/p>\n<p>\tWritten and directed by Rothwell, <em>How to Change the World<\/em> was commissioned by Bell Media in 2013. The film comes from the U.K.&#039;s Met Film and Daniel Film, and Canada&#039;s Insight Productions.<\/p>\n<p>\tMike Cosentino, the senior VP of programming for CTV Networks and CraveTV at Bell Media, commented: &quot;As the world convenes for climate change talks in Paris, we&#039;re reminded of how relevant the work of Bob Hunter and Greenpeace remains. We&#039;re immensely proud to be involved with this timely story about the global impact of a visionary Canadian.
