National Geographic has opened its first-ever Creator Cohort to bring together eight emerging digital-first nonfiction storytellers focused on exploration, conservation, science and adventure.<\/p>\n
The new campaign will take the form of a six-month, social-first initiative. Through curated experiences in collaboration with Nat Geo, the creators will give their audiences an inside look at Nat Geo\u2019s brand, from upcoming TV series and editorial moments to expeditions and consumer products launches.<\/p>\n
Over the course of the program, the members will participate in brand events and activations around tentpole moments, including the brand\u2019s signature Earth Month initiative; the next installment of James Cameron\u2019s Secrets of<\/em> franchise; and travel to some of the world\u2019s most unique destinations.<\/p>\n \u201cThe way audiences discover and connect with nonfiction storytelling continues to evolve,\u201d said Tom McDonald, executive VP of content at Nat Geo. \u201cNational Geographic has always believed in not only the power of storytelling but also backing the storytellers behind them.
