3BMG has launched a joint venture with unscripted producer and showrunner Ian Gelfand and former Warner Bros. executive Matt Nagorner, called IM Trying Productions.<\/p>\n
Gelfand and Nagorner serve as co-presidents of the new company, which will develop and produce unscripted content across multiple genres, with a special focus on celebrity and personality-driven series. Its slate at launch features roughly 20 projects, including a series already set up with Hulu, a home design show, a hidden camera format and multiple pop culture docuseries.<\/p>\n
Prior to launching IM Trying Productions, Gelfand spent more than 15 years as an executive producer and showrunner on a variety of unscripted series from companies such as Bunim\/Murray, Sony, Warner Bros. Discovery, Truly Original, 32 Flavors, Monami Entertainment and many others. He has credits for Vanderpump Villa<\/em>, Summer House<\/em>, Duck Dynasty<\/em>, Love and Hip Hop: New York<\/em> and American Pickers<\/em>, among others.<\/p>\n Nagorner most recently served as talent lead for Warner Bros. Unscripted, specializing in developing original series and formats built around high-profile stars. During his tenure, he worked across some of the company\u2019s biggest franchises and live programming, from The Bachelor<\/em> and The Voice<\/em> to the Friends<\/em> and Harry Potter<\/em> reunion specials. Most recently, he oversaw the creative for HGTV\u2019s Bachelor Mansion Takeover<\/em>. Prior to that, he spent over five years at Chuck Lorre Productions.<\/p>\n 3BMG, run by CEO Ross Weintraub<\/p>\n and chairman Reinout Oerlemans, also includes Jeff Jenkins Productions (Hulu\u2019s Secret Lives of Mormon Wives<\/em>, Bravo\u2019s The McBee Dynasty<\/em>), Superluna Studios (Netflix\u2019s Member\u2019s Only: Palm Beach<\/em>, Prime Video\u2019s June Farms<\/em>) and 3 Ball Productions (Paramount\u2019s Bar Rescue<\/em>), among others.<\/p>\n \u201cMatt and I both value the power of collaboration with talent and production partners and how a unified effort translates to content wins,\u201d Gelfand said. \u201c3BMG is so supportive in helping us reach our goals, and we\u2019re excited for this new chapter.\u201d<\/p>\n Nagorner commented, \u201cOur mission is to put talent first and give all of our IMT partners a seat at the table.
