Our ambition is to deliver premium, globally relevant storytelling at scale and to remind viewers of all ages of the importance of understanding and reflecting on the events and impact of this pivotal moment in history.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sharon Scott, Steve Ascher, Matt Pearl and Andy Seestedt serve as executive producers for A+E Factual Studios group. Ben Goold, Jane Root and Steve Condie serve as executive producers for Nutopia. Hanks and Gary Goetzman serve as executive producers for Playtone.<\/p>\n<p>Jon Meacham serves as executive producer. Chet Fenster serves as executive producer for Motion Entertainment. Eli Lehrer, Mary E. Donahue and Jennifer Wagman serve as executive producers for The HISTORY Channel.<\/p>\n<p>In over 20 episodes, <em>World War II with Tom Hanks<\/em> will present a retelling of the Second World War. It will draw upon rarely seen archival material, evocative storytelling and insights from leading historians. The docu-series will span across the origins of the conflict, its decisive turning points and the human stories at its heart.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDuring my formative years, every single adult in my life would make references to two words: The War,\u201d said Hanks. \u201cThe lasting effects of WWII on the world and my own family was not lost on me.
