In the third quarter, CuriosityStream\u2019s revenues increased 46 percent year-over-year to $18.4 million.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur Q3 results\u2014above guidance\u2014reflect disciplined execution and durable, recurring demand for our content,\u201d said Clint Stinchcomb, president and CEO of CuriosityStream. \u201cRevenue grew 46 percent year-over-year, adjusted free cash flow increased 88 percent, and adjusted EBITDA improved from negative to a positive $3 million. Our complementary growth engines\u2014retail and wholesale subscriptions, plus AI and traditional licensing\u2014are building momentum and strengthening CuriosityStream\u2019s position at the intersection of knowledge, media and artificial intelligence.\u201d<\/p>\n
The company saw a record gross profit of $10.8 million, a 58.7 percent gross margin, and a net loss of $3.7 million.<\/p>\n
CuriosityStream also reported an adjusted EBITDA of $3 million, an improvement of $3.4 million compared to the adjusted EBITDA loss of $0.4 million in Q3 2024.<\/p>\n
Record net cash provided by operating activities was $4.5 million, up from $2.3 million in the year-ago period.<\/p>\n
The company\u2019s growth in Q3 was led by the launch of subscription services with partners in the U.S., Australia, New Zealand and Germany; building on the foundation of its advertising business with its U.S. Hispanic and flagship FAST channels; launching payment options in 16 new currencies; and a fourth straight quarter of expanded data and video licensing partnerships for AI training.<\/p>\n
