{"id":24000,"date":"2025-10-21T11:27:12","date_gmt":"2025-10-21T15:27:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/optomen-appoints-laura-leigh-to-new-role\/"},"modified":"2025-10-21T13:34:10","modified_gmt":"2025-10-21T17:34:10","slug":"optomen-appoints-laura-leigh-to-new-role-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/optomen-appoints-laura-leigh-to-new-role-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Optomen Names Head of Reality"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Optomen, part of All3Media, has promoted Laura Leigh to the newly created role of head of reality.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have loved being part of the company\u2019s success across a range of reality programs, so it is a real privilege to be able to help shape the future of the genre at Optomen on a permanent basis,\u201d said Leigh.<\/p>\n<p>Leigh will start her new position early next year and will oversee the company\u2019s expanding slate of reality shows, reporting to Optomen\u2019s joint CEOs, Tina Flintoff and Nick Hornby.<\/p>\n<p>Leigh has worked with Optomen since 2022, executive producing series such as At Home with the Furys for Netflix and Olivia Attwood\u2019s Getting Filthy Rich and The Price of Perfection for ITV.<\/p>\n<p>Optomen\u2019s head of popular factual, Charlotte Brookes, will take on an expanded role as head of factual entertainment, where she will lead on a bigger portfolio of content, concentrating on the company\u2019s growing slate of successful formats.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted Laura has agreed to join us on a permanent basis as head of reality,\u201d said Flintoff and Hornby. \u201cShe is incredibly creative, a brilliant storyteller and a gifted showrunner. Next year is going to be another very busy year, and we couldn\u2019t be happier to have someone of Laura\u2019s caliber running such an important part of our business.
