The feature-length documentary Ozzy: No Escape From Now<\/em> will premiere on October 7 on Paramount+ in the U.S. and internationally, excluding Japan.<\/p>\n

Directed by BAFTA Award winner Tania Alexander, the two-hour film is produced by Echo Velvet, in partnership with the Osbournes and MTV Entertainment Studios. The film gives viewers an all-access, intimate view of the rock icon\u2019s six-year health battle as he fought to get back on stage one last time.<\/p>\n

The documentary is executive produced by Bruce Gillmer and Amanda Culkowski for MTV Entertainment Studios, Phil Alexander for Echo Velvet and Sharon Osbourne for Sharon Osbourne Management.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was in the hospital for weeks. To fall like that and not be able to bounce back like he had in the past, and then having to cancel the tour\u2014that was his biggest heartbreak,\u201d says Aimee Osbourne in the film.<\/p>\n

Originally, Ozzy: No Escape From Now<\/em> was not intended to be a posthumous film. Following his death on July 22, 2025, the documentary now stands as a testament to Ozzy, his influence and perseverance to perform one last time. The film will include the Osbourne family and will also feature contributions from bandmates and friends.<\/p>\n

\u201cAt that time, the depression was so bad. [He\u2019d] be like, What’s the point in even getting up? I’m not getting up. I’m not working with the physiotherapist. What’s the point?\u201d adds Sharon Osbourne.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt got me out of the blues. It helped me. That was the best medicine I ever had at that point,\u201d comments Ozzy in the film.<\/p>\n

\u201cI do think that Ordinary Man is less an Ozzy Osbourne album and more a John Osbourne album,\u201d says Jack Osbourne. \u201cThere’s a lot of themes in it [where he is] processing his own life and mortality and what he’s facing.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cI took dad to the studio every single day,\u201d says Kelly Osbourne. \u201cHe would go into the studio in the basement of Andrew\u2019s house and get comfortable in this chair that Andrew bought him, and it was like the magic would begin.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
