Berg, who is also the writer and executive producer. It will catch up on Syed&#8217;s life after his 23 years in prison, chronicling his journey to freedom after being convicted of the 1999 murder of his ex-girlfriend, Hae Min Lee. It airs on HBO on September 18 and Sky Documentaries on September 19.<\/p>\n<p><em>The Case Against Adnan Syed <\/em>explored the flaws in the original investigation in 1999. The story was first popularized by the podcast Serial. The first four parts of the series are available to stream on HBO Max.<\/p>\n<p>Featured in the documentary are Syed; former Baltimore state\u2019s attorney Marilyn Mosby; Rabia Chaudry, attorney and Syed family friend; relatives and more.
