Sky Arts has commissioned Classic Christmas Movies<\/em>, a docuseries about iconic Christmas films, from 3DD.<\/p>\n

Each episode will tell the story of a single film, delving into the trials and triumphs behind it and identifying the ingredients that elevated it from a simple movie to a classic. Season one will examine Home Alone<\/em>, Elf<\/em>, Muppets Christmas Carol<\/em>, It\u2019s A Wonderful Life<\/em>, Miracle on 34th Street<\/em> and Love Actually<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Classic Christmas Movies<\/em> is hosted by Ian Nathan, who guides viewers through the stories of the films from inception to legacy with his team of contributors.<\/p>\n

The first season is set to premiere later this year. A second season\u2014delving into Gremlins<\/em>; Bad Santa<\/em>; National Lampoon\u2019s Christmas Vacation<\/em>; Die Hard<\/em>; Planes, Trains & Automobiles<\/em>; and The Holiday<\/em>\u2014will come in 2026.<\/p>\n

The series is produced and directed by 3DD\u2019s head of production, Lyndy Saville. It has been prebought by Australia\u2019s SBS and New Zealand\u2019s Sky NZ.<\/p>\n
