{"id":23239,"date":"2025-06-25T08:30:03","date_gmt":"2025-06-25T12:30:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/worldscreen.com\/"},"modified":"2025-06-25T08:45:07","modified_gmt":"2025-06-25T12:45:07","slug":"ushuaia-tv-acquires-run-against-time-the-snowman-race","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/ushuaia-tv-acquires-run-against-time-the-snowman-race\/","title":{"rendered":"Ushua\u00efa TV Acquires Run Against Time: The Snowman Race"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>France\u2019s Ushua\u00efa TV has picked up <em>Run Against Time: The Snowman Race<\/em>, a co-production between Japan\u2019s NHK, Bhutan\u2019s BBS and France\u2019s Gedeon Programmes.<\/p>\n<p>The 49-minute documentary follows the entire 2024 Snowman Race, the world\u2019s toughest trail race that covers 186 kilometers of mountainous terrain in the Bhutanese Himalayas over four nights and five days.<\/p>\n<p>The race was aimed at drawing the world\u2019s attention to the global boiling, which is causing the Himalayan glaciers to melt, in turn causing rising water levels in glacial lakes and magnifying the risk of outburst floods.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAs always, we strive to bring to Ushua\u00efa TV viewers the highest quality entertainment and information documentaries,\u201d said Christophe Sommet, CEO of Ushua\u00efa TV. \u201cWorking with NHK through Gedeon Programmes and Terranoa on this exceptional quality film affords us a competitive advantage in a crowded French TV landscape.
