{"id":23133,"date":"2025-06-12T11:57:51","date_gmt":"2025-06-12T15:57:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/rogan-productions-taps-jenny-popplewell-as-factual-head\/"},"modified":"2025-06-13T10:00:44","modified_gmt":"2025-06-13T14:00:44","slug":"rogan-productions-taps-jenny-popplewell-as-factual-head-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/rogan-productions-taps-jenny-popplewell-as-factual-head-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Rogan Productions Taps Jenny Popplewell as Factual Head"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Rogan Productions (<em>Grenfell Uncovered<\/em>,<em> Backlash: The Murder of George Floyd<\/em>) has tapped <em>A Deadly American Marriage<\/em> director Jenny Popplewell as its head of factual.<\/p>\n<p>Popplewell, who also directed Netflix\u2019s <em>What Jennifer Did<\/em> and the BAFTA-nominated <em>American Murder: The Family Next Door<\/em>, will lead the development and delivery of human-led stories that aim to challenge perspectives and start conversation.<\/p>\n<p>She will report to James Rogan, creative director, and work alongside Mark Hedgecoe, head of Rogan Scotland, and Nicholas Franklin, head of production.<\/p>\n<p>Popplewell\u2019s credits also include the BBC documentary <em>Jamie: Drag Queen at 16<\/em>, which inspired the award-winning West End musical <em>Everybody\u2019s Talking About Jamie<\/em>. She previously served as head of popular factual at KnickerbockerGlory, where she played a key role in shaping the company\u2019s creative direction and oversaw a wide slate of successful productions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are delighted that Jenny has agreed to join the London team at Rogan, bringing with her an impressive track record of some of the most watched and memorable documentary and popular factual films in recent times,\u201d said Soleta Rogan, managing director of Rogan Productions. \u201cWe look forward to Jenny helping to drive and support our ever-expanding remit of output over the next stage in Rogan\u2019s growth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Popplewell said, \u201cI\u2019ve long admired Rogan Productions for their quality and integrity.
