Sky News has appointed Hidden Light Productions alum Siobhan Sinnerton as creative director of Full Story Films, its new long-form documentary production unit.<\/p>\n
Sinnerton will be responsible for shaping and implementing the editorial and creative strategy for Full Story Films, a new brand identity that operates within Sky\u2019s news group and complements the broader commissioning strategy of Sky Documentaries with news-adjacent films for streaming and television.<\/p>\n
Sinnerton joins from Hidden Light Productions, where she developed and executive produced documentaries such as In Her Hands<\/em> for Netflix.<\/p>\n Previously, she served as commissioning editor for news and current affairs at Channel 4. In that role, she commissioned the BAFTA-winning Myanmar\u2019s Killing Fields<\/em> and the Oscar-nominated For Sama<\/em>. She also oversaw dozens of human-interest and investigative films and series, including Dispatches<\/em> and Unreported World<\/em>.<\/p>\n \u201cThis new production unit with Siobhan Sinnerton at the helm will epitomize the premium offering from Sky News,\u201d said David Rhodes, executive chairman of Sky News Group, to whom she will now report. \u201cWe see tremendous editorial and commercial opportunities in long-form journalism online and on TV.
