To mark Live Aid’s 40th anniversary, Brook Lapping is prepping a documentary series looking back at the iconic event for the BBC and CNN.<\/p>\n

The doc will feature exclusive interviews with Bob Geldof, Bono, Sting, former U.S. President George Bush and others. Brook Lapping, a Zinc Media label, is working with Ronachan Films on the series.<\/p>\n

BBC Two and iPlayer are set to air Live Aid at 40 <\/em>as a 3×60-minute series. Live Aid: When Rock \u2019n\u2019 Roll Took On the World<\/em> airs as a four-parter on CNN.<\/p>\n

Tanya Shaw, executive producer, said: “Brook Lapping\u2019s legacy of impactful storytelling and its strong relationships with political leaders and iconic figures were crucial in securing exclusive access to the key players behind Live Aid. Our team worked tirelessly to bring together rare interviews and behind-the-scenes insights, uncovering the untold stories of an event that reshaped global aid and offering a fresh perspective on its lasting influence on music and politics.”<\/p>\n

Emma Hindley, BBC commissioning editor for Live Aid at 40, said: “The series takes the audience on an irresistible and entertaining ride through the 40 years since the biggest live concert ever was shown on TV.
