TVF International has signed a slew of deals across the educational and non-theatric markets, landing its factual programming with academic publishing companies and streamers, museums and schools.<\/p>\n
Over 115 hours of programming were picked up by the academic streaming platform Alexander Street, part of ProQuest, including AI & You<\/em>, The Last Seed<\/em>, Life is Precious<\/em> and This is Me<\/em>. The educational platform Swedish Films acquired Fluid: Life Beyond the Binary<\/em> and Atlas of a Changing Earth<\/em>.<\/p>\n AI & You<\/em> explores the societal impact of artificial intelligence, while The Last See<\/em>d addresses critical challenges facing the global seed industry. Life is Precious<\/em> features stories from people living with life-threatening conditions, and This is Me<\/em> explores sexual and gender fluidity.<\/p>\n Fluid: Life Beyond the Binary<\/em> also delves into the science of gender and sexual fluidity. Atlas of a Changing Earth<\/em> uses cutting-edge mapping technology to illustrate the impact of climate change.<\/p>\n Among the other deals signed by TVF International, publisher and multimedia studio Dreamscape secured a 40-hour package that includes The Exiles: Secretly Deported<\/em>, uncovering post-WWII deportations from the U.K. and Australia of Asian servicemen; The New Hire<\/em>, offering a look at workplace inclusion for individuals with disabilities; Will\u2019s Book: Shakespeare\u2019s First Folio<\/em>, chronicling the story behind the creation of one of the most influential books ever published; Time to Work<\/em>, examining evolving workplace dynamics globally; and Fake News: A True History<\/em>.<\/p>\n The educational video platform ClickView acquired 50 hours of programming, including Carbon<\/em>, demystifying the most-talked-about but least understood element; Bending Light<\/em>, examining how a 1922 expedition to Australia revolutionized science; Forgotten Palate: A Future in Ancient Grains<\/em>, exploring the global movement to return to ancient farming techniques that are less damaging to the planet; and AI at Work<\/em>.<\/p>\n Lastly, Sage Publications picked up three investigative documentaries for its Criminology & Criminal Justice<\/em> strand. This includes Fighting Traffick<\/em>, following activists working to rescue victims of human trafficking in Canada; Prison Moms<\/em>, offering unprecedented access to the lives of incarcerated mothers; and Yonge Street Uprising<\/em>, exploring Toronto\u2019s 1992 Yonge Street uprising ignited by police racism.<\/p>\n \u201cOur position as a leading factual distributor means there is a natural synergy between our catalog and the educational market,\u201d said Alex Lindsay, sales executive at TVF International. \u201cTopics such as technology, world affairs and social justice are in demand for educators, and TVF is able to provide a diverse range of international titles on these topics and more.
