The landmark ten-part series, narrated by Tom Hanks and featuring music by composer Hans Zimmer, was five years in the making, with 180 filmed expeditions. It hails from the renowned BBC Studios Natural History Unit, creator of the multi-Emmy Award-winning <em>Planet Earth<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em>Blue Planet<\/em>, in association with Universal Television Alternative Studio.
