Showcasing the wonders of the world\u2019s greatest supercontinent, The Americas<\/em> debuts February 23 on NBC. The landmark ten-part series, narrated by Tom Hanks and featuring music by composer Hans Zimmer, was five years in the making, with 180 filmed expeditions. It hails from the renowned BBC Studios Natural History Unit, creator of the multi-Emmy Award-winning Planet Earth<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Blue Planet<\/em>, in association with Universal Television Alternative Studio. Mike Gunton, creative director of factual at the Natural History Unit, whose long list of credits includes\u00a0Life<\/em>,\u00a0Planet Earth II<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Dynasties<\/em>, is executive producer.<\/p>\n
