TVF International has closed sales around the world for a range of science titles ahead of the World Congress of Science and Factual Producers (WCSFP).<\/p>\n
In Portugal, RTP picked up the 52-minute documentary The Good Virus<\/em>, which explores the use of bacteriophages to fight various diseases and deadly drug-resistant superbugs.<\/p>\n AI & You<\/em>, a 52-minute documentary produced by Animo TV Productions, was acquired by over 30 territories and picked up by Al Arabiya, AMC Networks International Southern Europe, TRT World, Mediawan and RTP, among others. It examines how AI technology is rapidly transforming the human experience.<\/p>\n Carbon: The Unauthorised Biography<\/em>, narrated by Sarah Snook, was sold to over 40 territories. Produced by Genepool Productions and Handful of Films, it demystifies the most-talked-about but least understood element and features testimony from Neil deGrasse Tyson. It was acquired by include Curiosity Stream, RTVE, SVT, National Geographic, Al Jazeera Documentary, AMC and more.<\/p>\n The CBC Nature of Things<\/em> documentary Fluid: Life Beyond the Binary<\/em>, exploring gender and sexual fluidity in the natural world, was bought by Virgin Media.<\/p>\n The Secret Life of Bats<\/em>, meanwhile, was sold to AMC and Maori TV in New Zealand. From Blue Paw Artists for ARD, the documentary follows a team of scientists armed with state-of-the-art ultrasonic cameras as they uncover the science behind sonar.<\/p>\n The ZDF\/ARTE documentary Planet Soil<\/em> went to Plattelands in Belgium and FTV Prima in the Czech Republic. FTV Prima was also among the broadcasters that signed a deal for Bending Light: Proving Einstein\u2019s Theory of Relativity<\/em>, following a team of astronomers from Australia, the U.K., Canada, India and the U.S. on an expedition to prove Einstein\u2019s theory of relativity. It was also picked up by ARTE, RTVE, Al Jazeera Docuementary and Mediawan.<\/p>\n Sweden\u2019s SVT, Asharq News, Plattelands TV, CANAL+ Poland, Movistar Plus+, Mediawan and more licensed the CNA-commissioned Space Farmers<\/em>.
