{"id":22328,"date":"2024-12-03T10:36:40","date_gmt":"2024-12-03T15:36:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/blue-ant-studios-promotes-nick-solowski-for-international-sales\/"},"modified":"2024-12-03T10:36:41","modified_gmt":"2024-12-03T15:36:41","slug":"blue-ant-studios-promotes-nick-solowski-for-international-sales","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/blue-ant-studios-promotes-nick-solowski-for-international-sales\/","title":{"rendered":"Blue Ant Studios Promotes Nick Solowski for International Sales"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Blue Ant Studios has promoted Nick Solowski, previously senior director of international sales and acquisitions, to VP of international sales.<\/p>\n<p>After nearly eight years with the company, Solowski will now expand his role to supercharge its business in Australia, New Zealand, Korea, Japan, China and Canada, as well as broaden the scope of existing content partnerships and cultivate new ones.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to joining Blue Ant Studios, Solowski held distribution sales roles in Canada at Tricon Films &amp; Television, Spafax Canada and Alliance Atlantis MPD.<\/p>\n<p>Solowski reports jointly to Jon Penn, managing director of AsiaPac at Blue Ant Media, and Bryan Gabourie, senior VP of international sales and partnerships at Blue Ant Studios.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNick is a valuable and hard-working member of Blue Ant Studios\u2019 distribution team, hugely respected by his peers and industry colleagues,\u201d Penn said. \u201cHe has a proven track record of securing successful partnerships across our catalogue of finished content, identifying crucial presale deals for many of our key title launches and consistently working to grow our reach through deploying a variety of creative business models. This promotion is well-deserved, and I am excited to continue working alongside him in the AsiaPac region to grow our presence and reputation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In news related to the region, Blue Ant Studios secured a raft of deals in Australia and New Zealand. Australia\u2019s Network Ten acquired <em>Airborne<\/em>, and Channel Nine picked up <em>Trump: A Second Chance?<\/em>, <em>Body in the Suitcase<\/em>, season ten of <em>See No Evil<\/em> and <em>Dubai: Buying the Dream<\/em>. SBS licensed <em>Stormy<\/em> and <em>Playboy Bunny Murder<\/em>, as well as seasons two and three of <em>Mysteries from Above<\/em>. SBS Food picked up <em>Adam Richman Eats Britain<\/em>, <em>Sophie Grigson: Slice of Italy<\/em> and <em>Tom Kerridge: Secrets of the Pub Kitchen<\/em>.
