It also delves into the legacy of the event, from the heartbreaking months people spent searching for missing family to the years-long task of rebuilding towns, lives and communities.<\/p>\n<p>Viasat World has picked up the docuseries for its feeds in the CEE, CIS, Nordic and Baltic territories. SVT in Sweden and Radio-Canada in Canada also acquired the series. Earlier this year, it was presold to Channel 4 in the U.K. and SBS in Australia.<\/p>\n<p><em>Tsunami: The Day the Wave Hit<\/em> is produced by Argonon-owned BriteSpark Films.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve put a real focus on anniversary pieces this year, starting with the success we had with <em>MH17: The Plane Crash That Shook The World<\/em> back in July,\u201d said Holly Cowdery, head of sales at BossaNova. \u201cBoth <em>Tsunami<\/em> and <em>MH17<\/em> were brought to life via our \u2018acqui-mission\u2019 model, which helps to get great shows made in a changing funding market.
