Curiosity has entered into a partnership with Off the Fence for the licensing of part of Curiosity Stream\u2019s content portfolio in China, Hong Kong and Macau.<\/p>\n
The deal covers 56 titles, amounting to 148 hours of premium factual content. Key titles include Breakthrough<\/em> (83 episodes), a comprehensive exploration of recent developments in physics, astronomy and other sciences, and the 6×60-minute Connections with James Burke<\/em>, a modern revival of the landmark series, utilizing CGI and virtual reality to explore the interconnections of knowledge throughout history.<\/p>\n Also part of the package are Bright Now<\/em> (72 episodes), examining advances in technology, challenging global issues, pivotal historical moments and the individuals driving change; Tracker\u2019s Diary: Bears of Katmai<\/em> (6×30 min.), following filmmaker Casey Anderson as he embeds himself among the world’s largest terrestrial carnivores in Alaska’s extreme backcountry; Stephen Hawking’s Favorite Places<\/em> (3×30 min.), a CGI journey through the universe with the legendary physicist; and Titans: The Rise of Hollywood<\/em> (6×50 min.), a high-budget, fully scripted docudrama series chronicling the battles between future media moguls as they competed for dominance in the nascent motion picture industry.<\/p>\n Ludo Dufour, VP of licensing at Curiosity, commented, “This partnership with Off the Fence marks a significant milestone in our expansion strategy across the Chinese-speaking territories.
