ZDF has commissioned Iceland From Above<\/em> (w.t.), the latest travel and adventure documentary from OTF Studios and Iceland’s Sagafilm.<\/p>\n

The doc, which is currently in production, is set to air in the third quarter of 2025 on ARTE before its official launch on ZDF\u2019s Terra X strand. The two-parter will showcase Iceland from high above, featuring glaciers, blue lagoons, geysers, volcanoes and more.<\/p>\n

OTF has also announced two new documentary series in its Wild\u2026<\/em> collection, again to be co-produced by OTF, its parent company ZDF Studios and ARTE. Wild: Senses<\/em> will take viewers on a sensory journey into the mysterious world of animal perception, while Wild Medics<\/em> listens to animals to discover what they can teach us about the natural remedies and techniques they use to alleviate pain and suffering.<\/p>\n

Stefanie Fischer, OTF\u2019s managing director, distribution, said: \u201cTerra X is not only a byword for quality factual programming, but it\u2019s also the showcase for Germany\u2019s finest documentaries. As a non-domestic producer given the greenlight for a coveted Terra X slot, it is a major accomplishment and a real tribute to Sagafilms\u2019 filmmaking excellence.
