{"id":21797,"date":"2024-08-01T10:30:07","date_gmt":"2024-08-01T14:30:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/new-bangers-cash-content-exclusively-for-u\/"},"modified":"2024-08-01T10:30:11","modified_gmt":"2024-08-01T14:30:11","slug":"new-bangers-cash-content-exclusively-for-u","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/worldscreen.com\/tvreal\/new-bangers-cash-content-exclusively-for-u\/","title":{"rendered":"New Bangers &#038; Cash Content Exclusively for U"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>UKTV has ordered the one-off special <em>Bangers &amp; Cash: Live<\/em> and new episodes of <em>Bangers &amp; Cash: Under the Bonnet<\/em> from Air TV, exclusively for its free streaming service U.<\/p>\n<p><em>Bangers &amp; Cash: Live<\/em> will follow a special live event centered on a classic car and memorabilia auction run by the Mathewsons. <em>Bangers &amp; Cash: Under the Bonnet<\/em> will return with unseen footage from other <em>Bangers &amp; Cash<\/em> programs to give viewers a deeper insight into the stories behind some of the previously seen car restorations.<\/p>\n<p><em>Bangers &amp; Cash: Live<\/em> is being filmed at the sold-out live event taking place a few miles away from the Mathewson headquarters at Scampston Hall on August 10 and 11. Narrated by Toby Foster, the special will showcase the highlights of the event. It will become available on-demand on U on August 29.<\/p>\n<p><em>Bangers &amp; Cash: Under the Bonnet<\/em> will feature unseen clips from <em>Bangers &amp; Cash<\/em> and <em>Bangers &amp; Cash Restoring Classics<\/em>. Three previously commissioned episodes, featuring a Mini Cooper S, a Saab 96 and a Lotus Esprit, are already available on U. The newly ordered episodes will feature the stories behind numerous projects and restorations, including those of an Audi Quattro, a Mazda MX-5, a Rolls Royce Silver Spirit, a Lotus Elan and a Ford Escort Mexico. The first three of the six new episodes are expected to be available on U in December 2024, with the remainder coming in Q1 of 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Both of the newly commissioned programs are being produced by Air TV. Andy Johnson and Morland Sanders are executive producers, and Holly Pywell is a series producer.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cU gives us a great opportunity to give our loyal viewers more of what they want\u2014namely more<em> Bangers &amp; Cash<\/em>!\u201d said Tracy-Jean, commissioning executive at U. \u201cLike all the best car restorations, the ethos is \u2018nothing should go to waste,\u2019 and we know viewers love that extra insight. The live event will be an amazing weekend, and we wanted the fans who couldn\u2019t travel to North Yorkshire to enjoy the atmosphere and excitement at being able to see a Mathewson auction in person again.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Sanders said, \u201cWe\u2019re delighted these commissions for U give <em>Bangers<\/em> fans the chance to watch even more Mathewsons. UKTV has done a great job putting the live event together, and we can\u2019t wait to film the auction there.
