Indie factual distributor TVF International has inked deals throughout CEE for its titles across arts, travel, biography, world affairs, engineering and more following NATPE Budapest.<\/p>\n
Czech public broadcaster \u010cesk\u00e1 televize acquired a package of aerial travelogues, including two seasons of Aerial Profiles<\/em>, Georgia From Above<\/em>, South Africa From Above<\/em>, UAE From Above<\/em> and Castles From Above<\/em> from Zona Mixta.<\/p>\n \u010cesk\u00e1 televize also picked up titles across world affairs, history and engineering, including Windfall Films\u2019 Building the Channel Tunnel<\/em> and Building the World\u2019s Most Luxurious Ship<\/em>. History titles include Tony Robinson\u2019s VE Day: Minute by Minute<\/em> from Woodcut Media, The Lady in Number Six<\/em> and China\u2019s Forgotten Emperor<\/em> from True North Productions.<\/p>\n Polish public broadcaster Telewizja Polska (TVP) picked up ZDF\/ARTE\u2019s Marlon Brando: In Paradise<\/em> from Berlin Producers, the Sky Arts-commissioned Hepworth: A Life in Sculpture<\/em> from Unity House Productions and RT\u00c9\u2019s Jack B. Yeats: The Man Who Painted Ireland<\/em> from Averner Limited. The pubcaster also licensed a trio of BBC-commissioned biographies, including Gauguin: A Dangerous Life<\/em>, Titian: Behind Closed Doors<\/em> and Winston Churchill: Blood, Sweat and Oil Paint<\/em> from Wavelength Films.<\/p>\n TVP World licensed three award-winning titles commissioned by Singaporean broadcaster Channel News Asia: Danger Zone<\/em> from Mediacorp, Keeping the Music Alive: In Defiance of the Taliban<\/em> from Babel Doc and US & China: When Titans Clash<\/em>.<\/p>\n Also in Poland, TVF licensed Supernova: The Music Festival Massacre<\/em> from Gebrueder Beetz to TVN24. TVN24 also licensed Polio\u2019s Last Battle<\/em>, which follows healthcare professionals fighting to vaccinate against polio in remote areas of Pakistan, and MH370: A Decade On<\/em>, which calls for the investigation into missing Malaysia Airlines Flight 370 to be reopened.<\/p>\n In factual entertainment, the distributor closed deals with international media company Viasat World for the Viasat Explore channel for a number of fishing titles, including the latest season of Monster Carp<\/em> from Korda Developments and ITV and the second season of The Grand Fishing Adventure<\/em>, fronted by angling icon Ali Hamidi and footballing legend Bobby Zamora.<\/p>\n Matt Langley, CEE sales executive for TVF International, commented: \u201cTVF\u2019s success in providing quality arts, world affairs and factual entertainment in CEE demonstrates the universal appeal of premium unscripted programming in the territory.
