The Walt Disney Company and National Geographic are celebrating Earth Month with the new global cross-platform campaign ourHOME.<\/p>\n
The campaign spotlights efforts that help protect, restore and celebrate Earth by highlighting creators, storytellers and cast members for their contributions. Disney+ has launched an ourHOME content collection featuring titles such as Queens<\/em>, A Real Bug\u2019s Life<\/em>, Incredible Animal Journeys<\/em> and the full library of Disneynature films.<\/p>\n Additionally, on Earth Day, April 22, the latest installment of Nat Geo\u2019s Secrets of…<\/em> franchise, the Paul Rudd-narrated Secrets of the Octopus<\/em>, will debut, as will Disneynature\u2019s new film Tiger<\/em>, narrated by Priyanka Chopra Jonas.<\/p>\n On April 8, Nat Geo and ABC News are partnering for a two-hour live special to celebrate and capture the solar eclipse across the U.S.<\/p>\n ourHOME-themed programming will also air across the National Geographic Channel, Nat Geo WILD, Nat Geo MUNDO, Disney Channel, Disney Junior, Freeform, FX and FXX.<\/p>\n A dedicated ourHOME spot featuring the voice of Morgan Freeman will air throughout the month across all Disney networks, Disney-owned television stations and select digital platforms.<\/p>\n Various events will take place at Disney parks as well. From April 21 to 28, Disney\u2019s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort will celebrate Earth Week will specialty offerings and experiences that connect audiences with nature. An ourHOME Castle show at Disneyland Paris will highlight scenes and images inspired by National Geographic explorers throughout the month of April. Walt Disney World will have Earth Month-themed food throughout the month.<\/p>\n Special photo activations for Park goers at Disney\u2019s Animal Kingdom and Disneyland Resort will also be available to celebrate the launch of Secrets of the Octopus<\/em>, and a special drawing activity tied to the new series will be available at Disney California Adventure.<\/p>\n The Shanghai Disney Resort will host the ourHOME Nature Conservation Forum on April 22, joined by National Geographic Explorer Xi Zhinong, and will see the return of the Celebrate Earth\u2014Earth Month Fair at Disneytown from April 19 to 22.<\/p>\n Additionally, The Walt Disney Company will be making grants in excess of $1 million to charitable organizations through the Disney Conservation Fund (DCF). Funds will support global efforts to protect, restore and celebrate Earth. This includes providing funding to Jane Goodall\u2019s Roots and Shoots, a program of the Jane Goodall Institute that empowers young people to create a better world for humans and others animals, in honor of Jane Goodall\u2019s 90th birthday.
